Album of the Day Recap: 6/8/18 -10/8/18

If last week was a week largely defined by death metal, then this past week was one of hardcore, with some classic metal thrown in to the mix. Enjoy!

Shai Hulud – Hearts Once Nourished With Hope And Compassion – 6/8/18

Such an important record for me, and seemingly for so many other people judging by the response when this was posted. So many practically perfect songs on here.

Iron Maiden – Somewhere in Time – 7/8/18

It may not be held in the same regard as some of their other albums, but I find this to be one of the most enjoyable records that Iron Maiden have released.

Coalesce – Functioning on Impatience – 8/8/18

That this album isn’t on Bandcamp is a crime, but at least it’s on Spotify I guess. One of the most memorable openings to a record, regardless of genre.

Propagandhi – Victory Lap – 9/8/18

If you don’t consider Propagandhi to have some of the best lyrics in music, then I can only assume that either you haven’t listened to much Propagandhi, or feel attacked by their politics.

Stormbeard – Demolition – 10/8/18

A demo of no-bullshit heavy metal, this is an absolute ripper that could have come from the 80’s. Hoping to hear more from this band in the future, as this demo is great!
